The headspace thing could maaaaaybe be explained because we never see them having one in the show? Their experiences of "being two equally-insubstantial figures who can stand next to each other and hug each other" are from the Egyptian afterlife, which they actually wouldn't have access to without Khonshu.

...But it's so easy to do a little reading and figure out that, oh wait, the general idea of "inner worlds" is an experience that IRL systems have. No patronage of an Egyptian god required.

When the show uses mirrors, whichever headmate is controlling the body is the one in physical space, and the one talking internally is in the reflection. If Marc is in the mirror, then Marc takes the body's perspective to see Steven in the mirror, that means a switch has happened and Marc is fronting now.

Heh, that Anne passage sounds like it's the experience Jane Phillips thought she was having. (Unless Katie Maurice and Violetta come back later! Pretty sure that's not where the books were going...but I admit I didn't read them all.)
