A lot of the original post was inspired by specific misinformation that I've seen floating around. So if you're already up on the minutiae of tag wrangling, most of this is directed at people who are, like, five steps behind you.
Example: there are people claiming "AO3 wranglers will literally rewrite the tag text on your work." When I explain that it's not true, I'm not making a secondary argument about any other possible meaning of "change the tag"! I'm just straightforwardly trying to help catch up the AO3 users who didn't know about this one.
